AUE was initially formed in 2005 to supply design services to the gas utility market. In order to meet the growing needs in the gas industry Aecon entered the design services market to support key gas distribution clients.

Since 2005 AUE has continued to grow in size and scope, now offering design services for all types of utilities, gas, hydro, and telecommunications.

Capabilities include full engineering services on new construction, network expansion and modernization, system maintenance, and rehab and restoration.
