Aecon employees collectively raise $100,000 for cancer research

This summer Aecon employees in Calgary and Toronto participated in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, collectively raising $100,000 for cancer research.

Over 25 Aecon employees were joined by Aecon’s President and CEO, Teri McKibbon, as well as David Smales, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Mark Rivett, Executive Vice President, Aecon Infrastructure.

In June, Toronto-area employees and their friends participated in the Ontario Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, riding 200 kilometres from Toronto to Niagara Falls and raising nearly$75,000 in support of Princess Margaret Cancer Centre -- one of the top five cancer research centres in the world.

In August, Aecon employees participated in the Alberta Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, cycling over 200 kilometres through the picturesque, but hilly Rocky Mountains. The team raised $25,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation in support of 18 cancer centres across the province.

Well done Team Aecon!
