Aecon is leading a joint venture with Flatiron that will twin the Bow River Bridge on the Northwest segment of the Calgary Ring Road and widen about 2 kilometres of Northwest Stoney Trail from Crowchild Trail to Scenic Areas Link.
The construction on the Northwest Stoney Trail corridor includes the addition of new collector/ distributer roadway lanes between Crowchild Trail and Scenic Acres Link, and a bridge at Scenic Acres Link to accommodate southbound traffic entering Tuscany Boulevard or Scenic Acres Link. Construction also includes minor reconfiguration of the westbound to southbound loop ramp at the Stoney Trail / Crowchild Trail interchange.
The project is a key component in the completion of the Calgary Ring Road and will provide vital transportation infrastructure for growing communities in the Greater Calgary Area.
