Réseau express métropolitain (REM) Montréal

Montréal, Québec

The REM is a fully automated, electric LRT network that includes 67 kilometres of double tracks, 3.5 kilometres of tunnels, 26 new accessible stations and park-and-ride facilities with associated bus terminals – a transformative project for commuters.

Montréal-Trudeau International Airport REM Station

Montréal, Quebec

This critical hub will be a significant addition to Montréal’s transit system and the 67-kilometre REM network. It will take approximately 25 minutes to travel from the station to downtown, with faster and more frequent all-day service.

The new cable-stayed, two-span overpass spans six lanes and 120 metres, linking Girouard Avenue and Décarie Boulevard, near the McGill University Health Centre super-hospital.

The Monseigneur-Langlois Bridge Reconstruction project involved the construction of one new bridge, the renovation of another, and the construction of two new retaining walls.

Aecon was the general contractor for the Ste. Marguerite 3 (SM-3) Powerhouse project which was one of the major projects for the SM-3 power development.

Located on the Ashuapmushuan River near the Lake St-Jean area in Quebec, the Carbonneau Bridge Reconstruction involved replacing the existing two-lane bridge with a new four-lane bridge.

The Eastmain-1 Hydroelectric project was carried out by a joint venture between Aecon and HT Civil Canada Inc (Hochtief Construction A.G.). The project involved the construction of the powerhouse, the water intake structure and horizon penstocks.
