Aecon Group Inc. (Aecon) is pleased to announce a partnership with McMaster University to establish the Aecon Nuclear Future Leaders Scholarship. This three-year $36,000 scholarship award program will provide four $3,000 awards annually to eligible undergraduate students enrolled in any Faculty of Engineering Co-op programs (Level 2 or above) who attain high averages and are interested in working in the nuclear industry to power a sustainable future.
“Investing in the next generation of the nuclear workforce and building a sustainable future are key focus areas for Aecon,” said Aaron Johnson, Senior Vice President, Aecon Nuclear. “We are proud to partner with McMaster University on this scholarship award to support students with their academic career in Engineering.”
Scholarship applications will open in January 2026 on the AwardSpring platform, with the first four recipients will be announced in September 2026.
McMaster University offers robust academic programming to provide students with both the fundamentals and specializations to help them achieve a rewarding career in the nuclear industry.
